It was serialized in the children's magazine Good Words for the Young beginning in 1868 and was published in book form in 1871. It is a fantasy centered around a boy named Diamond and his adventures with the North Wind. Diamond travels together with the mysterious Lady North Wind through the nights.The book for sale was published by Easton Press in 1996, and it is surely one there best efforts with a beautiful cover design by Michael Meldelsohn and stunning illustrations by Jessie Wilcox Smith. The book is BRAND NEW, never opened. It is in full leather binding with raised hubs on the spine, gold stamped detailing on the front cover and spine, sewn in satin page marker and gilded page edges.
