The 14k Gold Earrings are yet another fine example of why Ed Levin's work appears in the book, "Messengers of Modernism". These early 1960's earrings are finely crafted, and very true to the modernist aesthetic. Simple without being simplistic!! The design of the earrings is quite remarkable!! A stylized 14k gold wire flower is embedded in a tough transparent gray/green matrix, bezelled in 14k gold. The photos have been enlarged for better viewing. Please Note: Before you bid, kindly review the measurements of the earrings for the actual size!! The earrings measure approximately (including the earwire) 2 1/8" long, the matrix flower drop measures 3/8". I should add the 14k gold earwires are also hand made. They are a great pair of vintage Levin earrings. I have included a photo of the earrings from Levin's early 1960's catalog (#55), the earrings were also in studs. They are not marked due to the gauge of the wire. Also, I have found over the years that many of his earlier pieces were not marked. So it is extremely helpful for one to be able to recognize his very unique designs!!! The earrings are in Excellent Condition!!! U.S. Buyers: We Accept Paypal. Shipping via USPM -Insurance Required.
