Up for auction is a lovely all original Model B Banner Decal Edison Home Phonograph. The oak case has an excellent, lustrous, original finish and the banner displays beautifully very nicely as seen in the photographs below. The model B 2 minute cylinder player was introduced in October of 1905 and was made through 1908 and was the first phonograph Edison made in an antique oak (rather than the earlier green oak) finish. This is an early example of the model B as by the summer of 1906, the gold and black banner gave way to the Edison script logo. Banner decal machines are coveted.

This machine comes with its original model C reproducer, and crank. All of the parts are original and in fine condition. It does not come with a horn, though originals and reproductions are readily available.

Mechanical Condition - The machine starts up fine, but needs a cleaning and adjustment as it slows down to a halt, once a cylinder is engaged. The spring is fine and all parts are present. This machine was sitting in an attic for decades before I bought it and with a little work from someone who knows what they are doing, this machine will run fine.
