This is a matching pair of Edwardian, Portiere', drape panels circa the first quarter of the 1900's. These were used in the door ways of Victorian and Edwardian homes to keep the heat in the rooms. This pair is very different from any I have ever had but they are Portiere's as they are fringed on the top and bottom. Hung in the doorway and the top was flipped over. The pattern is colorful and unusual for this type of drape. Condition is great-never used so I have not laundered them. Everything is great-colors, condition, fringes. T is no drying of the fibers but they are musty from storage so please keep that in mind. I currently have them airing on my porch to try and get rid of the musty odor but cannot guarantee that will be gone by the time I ship. Each panel measures 58 inches wide by 98 inches long not including the 4 inches of fringe on top and bottom which would make them 106 inches long.
