This is an old used Zippo lighter in the box with- Eisenhower Special, Detroit, Denver, June 15, 1952 stamped on it. It has the shape of the U.S. contingent 48 states outline also plus a dashed line joining Detroit and Denver. I assume this would represent a train trip Eisenhower made during his presidential nomination campaign. The Republican convention was held in Chicago from July 7- 11 in 1952 so this pre-dates his nomination. I have researched this lighter and have found many other designs, but none are like this one. The lighter shows wear so it was used. The box is intact and in good condition. On the bottom it is stamped- Zippo Mfg. Co. Bradford, PA, ZIPPO, Pat. 2032695, Made in USA.Winner pays $5.25 Shipping for U.S.A. Insurance is extra and is based on final sale price. The listing form requires that I give the insurance cost before the final price is known so may not be correct. I will combine multiple wins for shipping when possible, but ask first. Payment must be received by 10 days from auction close. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Checks if you have an established positive feedback rating. Thanks for looking and good luck!
