From Pottery Barn Exclusives: A Period New England White "Clapboard" 3 floor Town House (with attic) What is it? This was a one year offering from Pattery Barn in the 1990's and is only rarely seen on eBay. It is different than other Pottery Barn doll houses in that it is less whimsical/cartoonish and therefore more realistic in style. This broadens the house's appeal transcending it through it's use from dollhouse to architectural model. It can serve either function well. Description of Exterior and Interior: A New England style white "clapboard" town house replete with black shutters and dark red front door which swings open. There are 3 floors plus an attic. Each floor uses real hardwood flooring and each floor has two front facing windows plus one on each side. All windows have back shutters with white casements. The attic is window-less. The roof is finished using grey shingles with and additional row of shingles forming a surmount. There is no chiminey nor do any of the rooms contain fireplaces, but this feature may be either painted or built-in by the new owner as desired. Further, there are no staircases connecting the floors, but there is ample space to fabricate staircases as desired. None of the floors are subdivided.
