Poured wax shoulderhead of plump-faced baby, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, tinted detail of eyeliner and brows, accented eye corners, closed mouth with shaded lips, delicate tendrils of baby hair into scalp, softly-stuffed original muslin body, poured wax arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent, right thumb repaired. Comments: Montanari type, circa 1880. Value Points: very beautiful face with delicate painting, original body and well-detailed antique costume that may be original.
