This is from a collection of beautiful Victorian banquet lamps I will be selling on ebay, all coming from a private collector's estate. This one stands 23 1/2" high to top of shade and is in very good original condition with only some discoloration/verdigris at the soldering points of the post and base. The ribbed brass base stands atop a black base I believe is enameled iron. Very nice patina to brass. The font is a quilted pink satin glass. The burner appears to be complete and intact (wick included) with knob reads, "DIETZ DAVIS & CO. LD, LION LAMP WORKS, LONDON". Other than that, I could find no other name or stamp anyw else on the lamp. The etched crimped petal shade is gorgeous - 6 5/8" tall, and is deep rose at the top to light pink frosted glass at the bottom. T is an all-over elaborate etched design with leafy arches, flowers and peacock eyes. The shade has one small chip at the neck which is not visable when it sits in the brass ring. The satin glass font is in excellent condition with no damage. Complete with chimney.
