Here is an interesting used envelope. It is from the Board of Port Commissions – Port of Oakland. Postmarked Oakland Airport Station Apr 19, 1934. There is a stamped vignetts of a B-10 Bomber. Text states "Carried Aboard The New United States Army Martin B-10 Bomber on First Regular East Bound Trip after being Commissioned City of Oakland ". There is an 8 cent stamp with a football shaped cancel. When the Army Air Corps tool over the delivery of Air mail on April 19 th , 1934. The Martin B-10 Bomber was christened City of Oakland at a ceremony in Oakland on April 19, 1934. After numerous fatal crashes, the service was returned to the airlines and the last Flight of the Oakland was May 7 th . Pen markings and mild general wear. Opened but empty
