Skyline by E V E R S H A R P Lever Filling Fountain Pen Circa: 1940s 14K Nib with Medium Oblique Tip Working Pen in Very Good to Excellent Condition Restored Lever-filling System with New Ink Sac & Writing with Semi-flex Oblique Nib Grey Plastic with Gold Filled Trim Original Box & Instructions Pen 5-1/4" in length closed and 6" with the cap posted At first glance, this looked like a " new old stock " pen with just enough use or wear to disqualify it as being in mint condition. I re ceived the pen with the label on the cap which r eads: 85 .- EVERSHARP Originally an eighty-five cent pen ? ? Or, perhaps this label was applied more recently by someone hoping to resell the lovely pen for $85.00 ? I will not make any assumptions regarding the signifcance of the 85 . - However, I do assume the pen dates from the decade of the 1940s based on my reference books. I believe my photos seen below show enough detail to indicate the extent of wear or defects to the exposed surfaces including very minor brassing of some edges of the clip. One can also see from the writing sample in the photos that this is a working pen. The excessive bleeding of the red ink is an ink problem, not an issue with the nib. But, I did encounter a problematic issue with the nib involving interruptions of ink flow which I did not completely
