This OLD postcard is postally used. This is a salesman advance card printed on a U. S. government postal card. NOTE INFO FOUND ON THE WEB: Fat Emma: The Pendergast Candy Company in Minneapolis introduced this candy bar. It was introduced in the early 1920’s. This bar had a nougat center. They planned to call it the Emma bar. It was called Fat Emma because the bar was twice as thick as what they expected. The makers accidentally put too much egg white in the mixture therefore they called it the Fat Emma. Later, Frank Mar copied the idea to create the Milky Way Bar. Fat Emma was the first candy bar to use a nougat in the center.
