This guitar was part of a special run commissioned by Fender in 2004 designed to bridge the gap between Fender Mexico and Fender USA. This it certainly does. The stunning lightweight ash body compliments the birdseye maple neck and fretboard perfectly. The only clear difference between this guitar and an American product spec wise is the addition of the 22nd fret, which many American Stratocasters lack. The staggered Seymour Duncan pickups are incredibly hot allowing Fender like cleans to turn into distorted blues by turning the volume knob. Specs: Ash Body Birdseye Maple Neck (Modern "C" shape) Natural birdseye maple fretboard 22 frets Staggered Seymour Duncans - APS-1N, APS-1RWRP, APS-1B, (Neck/Middle/Bridge) APS stands for Alinco Pro Staggered 2 Tone, 1 Volume 25.5 Inch Scale Length Abalone Dots Chrome Hardware Condition wise the guitar is near mint. It has minor marks on the very tip of the headstock and a minor mark on the pickguard. The shape of such would make me suspect this was from the moulding of the guard opposed to damage as it is almost an excess of plastic rather than indentation. This should be visible in picture 3. The guitar comes with white back plate and trem arm which were fitted upon purchase. They appear to be original leaving their colour a mystery.
