First edition, second issue with adverts. on the endpapers and [The right of Translation is reserved] at the foot of the title page. Octavo. 79 pp.

Original brown textured cloth, blindstamped borders, (printed crooked on rear cover) lettered in gilt on front cover.

Yellow endpapers, printed with advertisements i.e. Burke's Peerage for 1860, Landed Gentry for 1860, Foreign Office List for 1860. Inner front hinge starting but sound, off-setting to inner margin along rear hinge, as usual from glue. Minimal shelfwear, gilt nice and bright. Spine wrinkled from glue. Overall, a very good copy of the most influential nursing guide still printed and practiced today.
