Folk Art Small Tin Matchbox Painted by W.C. (Warner) Wrede (deceased)

This tiny treasure is so clever! The bird is running away with a cherry and is almost looking back to see if anyone is following him. There are a couple of paint chips on the back corners & 1 small one on the lower right front & 1 small one on the upper left top. They don't detract from the painting though. It is 3 1/4" X 2 3/8" X 3/4"deep. Any painting by Warner is a treasure, one of many from my collection. I have always enjoyed the humor I see in this one.
