VERY RARE & LARGE Rose Medallion Footed Bowl 19th C. We recently acquired some incredible Collector Grade Chinese antiques from the estate of a discerning and prolific collector who recently passed away at 92 years of age.� She was part Chinese and took pride in her rich and beautiful collection of Chinese antiques spanning a half-millenium of Chinese history.� We were fortunate enough to acquire a select few of these, and will be making them available to our Ebay customers.� This is a rare opportunity to acquire fine antiques from one of mankind's most ancient civilizations.Up for auction is one of the rarest forms of Rose Medallion porcelain you will encounter, a scalloped footed bowl or charger dating to the second half of the 19th Century.� This exquisite bowl is both visually stunning and large , measuring an impressive 15 1/8 inches (38.4 cm) in length by 11 3/8 inches (28.9 cm) in width by 3 1/8 inches (7.9 cm) in height.� The interior is painted in classic Rose Medallion motif, with panels of dynastic court scenes interspersed with floral panels painted with birds and insects.� A single band runs along the circumference of the foot, above which a single rose is painted at each of the four "corners."� With the exception of one isolated small instance of fritting to the rim (at the very edge, measuring a scant 1/8 of an inch)
