Beautiful art pottery vase by master-potter Frank Stofan.Artist-signed on the base, dated 2002. An impressive size of 12” tall, 6” diameter at top, 9.5” at widest point, and 4” at base. The vase is in shades of dark blue and brown over a shaded white stoneware background. The glaze has the appearance of a forest of trees in the Arts & Crafts style. Inside of vase is glossy dark brown glaze. It is in perfect condition without chips or cracks.

The vase is fine, white stoneware. Each piece is hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel, glazed, and fired to 2300 degrees. The wood ash helps melt the other elements in the glaze to create the tree-like effect.
