Fraziers/McKenney Cartridge Box w/NG Insignia Plate ~ NO RESERVE ~ 's another great piece of American history. This 18 round cartridge box is original and complete with the wooden cartridge holder and insignia plate attached to the front with the original fastener. Plate reads "NG" for the National Guard. I'm told equipment issued with this insignia was given to new recruits before they were permanently assigned to a regular regiment. The only flaw with this box is the fastening strap. The end that clips onto the brass button is missing. Other than that this cartridge box is in excellent condition. Both hinges are strong & solid and both belt loops on the back are firmly attached. Nice clear issue and reissue stamps with a patent of March 5th, 1878 and April 23rd, 1878. Also marked McKenney & Co New York. Dimensions: 7 1/2" x 4" x 2". Low priority shipping. I do combine shipping with other wins. FREE SHIPPING with buy-it-now! Great luck and thanks for looking!
