Being offered is a very rare 1936 era 5 3/8" tall "half pint" railroad clear glass embossed "FRED HARVEY" milk bottle. This milk bottle was used in the Fred Harvey operated hotels and restaurants that were operated in conjunction with the Santa Fe & Frisco Railroad operations. The food and service was next to none in a Harvey House. The bottle has some use to it, with wear to the sides. T are some nicks (very small chiggers) to the bottom rim from usage. However overall, the bottle looks great and displays very well. It appears that the bottle will take a 56mm milk cap, which the rim is in excellent condition. Some of the locations w Fred Harvey had operations were the El Tovar, The Bisonte at Hutchinson Kansas, Topeka Kansas (the 1st eating house), Waynoka Oklahoma, Union Station & Westport Room in Kansas City Missouri, The Casa del Desierto (House of the Desert) Harvey House in Barstow California, Hopi House and the Bright Angel Lodge in the Grand Canyon, Alvarado Hotel in New Mexico, Spinning Wheel Restaurant in Hinsdale Illinois, Union Station in Kansas City Missouri, Harvey Hotel in Dodge City Kansas, Belen New Mexico, Cardenas Hotel in Trinidad Colorado, Amarillo Texas Harvey Hotel, La Junta Colorado, Springfield Missouri, the Gold Lion Restaurant in Chicago Union Station, Fray Marcos, El Garces Hotel in Needles California,
