FRED LASSWELL - BARNEY GOOGLE AND SNUFFY SMITH DAILY ORIGINAL ART 12-11-53 Click on the image to enlarge FRED LASSWELL (1916 - 2001), at the tender age of 17, became the assistant to Billy DeBeck, creator of Barney Google and Snuffy Smith . W hen DeBeck died in 1942, Lasswell took over the strip and drew it for another sixty years. Lasswell was also a prolific inventor, and late in life produced a series of 'how-to' vidoes teaching children to draw. This is the original art to a Barney Google and Snuffy Smith comic strip daily dated 12-11-53. This piece is in very good condition with moderate overall aging. It has a image area of 19" x 5".
