A-097 Very unusual panorama cut-away poster of the Compagnie Generale Transalantique ship "Paris". Undated, but early 1920s. This ship was constructed in 1912, saw some brief service during the First World War before returning to Ocean Liner duty in 1921. This panorama was issued by CGT shortly after her recommissioning Very large, measuring approx 115cm x 30xm (3 ½ feet long x 1 foot high). Folded as issued, and fitted into the original textured paper portfolio. With some older repairs on the blank reverse, but really remarkably well-preserved for a poster in this format from this period, without discoloration or serious defects, despite its obvious fragility.. Very rare. This will look truly fantastic once properly matted and framed, unfortunately it is so large that is difficult to get a clear photograph, so we have included several close-up detail shots.
