French Photo Album on Boxer Rebellion / Pekin / Peking / China

Very interesting and rare French photo album with 57 vintage photo images of China (primarily Peking and Tientsin) on the Boxer Rebellion period with views of imperial palaces, streets, buildings, markets, foreign concessions, foreign troops and Chinese people. Including images of a Chinese man dressed up as a boxer, Chinese firefighers and police, Chinese prisoners, a female Chinese horse-rider and Chinese artillery troops. Each image about 14.25x8.75cm. A few images might be reproduced. There are also a number of family photos in the same album.

Together with 6 larger images (22x16.5cm) on French Indo-Chine, including images of Cholon and Saigon, mounted on 5 loose pages .

Most images with handwritten sub-notes in French . One loose page of typed note of good wishes in French.

Circa 19 00's. One image is dated July 14th, 1900.

Condition: Good condition, wear from age .
