This is a sculpture that we have had in our glass curio cabinet, so t will not be the original box. No scratches that I can detect. It is missing one foam pad on the bottom of base Friends on NRA 2006 Sponsor Sculpture entitles "The Paratrooper" by renowned Montana sculptor Rick Terry. This is the 35th and final sculpture in the Friends of NRA series honoring the "Pioneers of American History and their Firearms". "The Paratrooper" depicts a heroic Airborne Soldier from WWII. A lifestyle of freedom and independence is reflected in each of Terry's artwork. "The Paratrooper" pays homage to airborne troops. The base is symbolic of the Hedgerow country found in Normandy. The sign and broken chains emulate the liberation of St. Marie du Mont, representative of one of many objectives of the 101st Division. In addition, the patches from the other Airborne Divisions adorn the sides. This sculpture serves as a reminder of all the sacrifices made by all Armed Forces on behalf of freedom. Expertly crafted and finely detailed, 12 " tall sculpture is mounted on to a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 3/4" " x 6" x 1 3/4" fine maple finish base with brass numbered title plate on the front and foam feet on the wood.
