This listing is for a Barograph made for JULIEN P.FRIEZ of Baltimore Maryland by the Richard Freres company of Paris France. This was before Friez made their own barographs, and could date to as early as 1890. At least it is listed in an 1893 catalog. Complete with EARLY Friez ink bottle with violet ink,( really cool early handle on dipper) and I will include early Henry Green Weather Bureau charts,(50), with it,( the charts have areas to hand write in ACTUAL barometric pressure, as per WEATHER BUREAU specs). Operates perfectly, as you can see from looking at pictures, I have run it up and down in my chamber,( large vertical mark on chart). I have custom handcrafted a key that winds drum, and adjusts barograph cell tension. Will arrive carefull packed, with cells disconnected to eliminate damage in transit,( easily reassembled, instructions included. New pin nib.Case is in REMARKABLY GOOD condition, and is a work of ar in itself, dovetaile joints, beautiful hardware. Prominent U.S. Weather Bureau tag on lid, as can be seen in pictures. serial number of 24989 on brass base. 6 1/2" tall, by 5 1/4" wide, by 11 1/4" long, makes this the larger version of the Freres barograph.
