FT WORTH CATS TEXAS #2 BILL McCLANAHAN Pennant Artwork

A RARE one of a kind piece of hand drawn artwork by BILL McCLANAHAN of the Dallas Morning News from the early 1960's. This is a piece of artwork drawn by Bill to be used as copy for a cartoon that would have been published in the Dallas News. Bill worked for the News from the1940's to the early 1970's and is famous for his various sports artwork that was published in the NEWS. It shows two cowboys in what looks like a cellar. One is standing wearing a vest that says RANGERS, the other is sitting on the floor with a shirt that says SPURS, and boots that say D-FtW. It also shows a CAT wearing a uniform shirt with CATS on the front and wearing a hat that says "F.W.", I assume this is in reference to the FT WORTH CATS who had folded by now. It is in very nice condition. This is one of three different related pieces of artwork we now have on ebay, plus see our original yard-long photo of the 1939 DIXIE SERIES TEAM PHOTO that has the FORT WORTH CATS vs NASHVILLE VOLS. See our other auctions we now have on ebay. Item will be shipped via Priority Mail at $5.00 including Delivery Confirmation.
