G-Scale locomotive tender and car - no name Cannonball This auction is fora Locomotive tender and combined baggage passenger car. This is a good example of a G-gage locomotive but I have to admint a little weird. I can not find any makers mark. This has been bugging me. I see a little gold medallion on the side of the loco. Baldwin Locomotive Works Philadelphia USA July 1810 #34942 but I think it may be decoration. The headlight has 8254. It's heavy. 4-6-0 the whistle on top is there on the wire but not attached. The undercarriage is metal. I see where the tender plugs in to the loco and a little switch - lights I presume sound maybe there seems to be a speaker cut out on the tender. Bachman - china on the truck on the tender that is the best I can do. It is pretty cool I am not sure how the loco and tender couple though the back end of the tender has an LGB style coupler. The combine car has the other kind of couplers - hopefully you can see in the picture. The wheels are metal. The baggage car also has a place for a 9 volt battery under the car but I don't know if the lights work. I don't recall running this engine on my layout and I have sold all my transformers so can not test. WYSIWYG I think this is a fine example of a steam locomotive and an interesting addition to your layout. It is a little rough as you can see from
