General Westmoreland Signed Photograph Vietnam War

General William Westmoreland [March 26, 1914 - July 18, 2005]. General Westmoreland graduated from West Point in 1936, and served as a artillery officer during World War II. Before the war's end he was promoted to colonel and took part in combat action in Tunisia, Sicily, France and Germany. In 1953, he was promoted to brigadier general and in 1956, at the age of 42, he became the youngest general of the Army. In 1968, he was promoted to Army Chief of Staff and commanded 535,000 troops during the Vietnam War.

Listed for auction is a photograph signed by General William Westmoreland. The photograph is an attractive formal color portrait of the general signed ''W Westmoreland''' in black felt pen. The photograph measures 8 x 10 inches and both the image and quality of the photograph is excellent. The autograph is authentic, and nicely signed by this prominent United States general.
