This is a BEAUTIFUL 100% ALL-ORIGINAL example of a signed German Wall Clock in SUPERIOR condition. German Wall clocks are of the highest quality. It was made in Germany circa 1890. The German clocks in our collection have not yet required any servicing and have kept perfect time for many, many years. This particular model is in SUPERIOR condition, rare, considering its age. Retains its original crown and all the original finials, and very wavy original glass – quite rare indeed. It has a SIGNED 8-day time and strike HEAVY DUTY movement, which chimes the half-hour and counts the hours on a large gong with a very nice unique sound. The movement is signed! We searched our references and could not find the name of the maker. If we do find it we will add the name to the bottom of the listing. The original porcelain dial is in beautiful perfect condition! (See pictures) The top crown is original and in superior condition! This clock is quite large and measures 39 inches high, 16 inches wide and 7 ½ inches deep. The finish is original and in super condition. The case has a few cracks here and there from years of service. The clock has a nice quiet way it ticks also with a wide pendulum swing of the original RA pendulum. The case is beautiful with beautiful carved designs. It looks like it is made of walnut. Original hands. Complete with the original porcelain RA pendulum (beautiful condition) and a heavy duty key. Someone has really loved and taken very good care of this clock. If you are looking for a very high quality clock that is in all original condition – as well as being very beautiful – THIS IS IT! Runs great and keeps good time. The maker is rare and unique with a very interesting trade mark (see picture). These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working perfectly after 100 years! And the truly amazing thing it is ready for the next 100 years, and will probably run indefinitely with tender loving care. Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment. This clock will be packed VERY CAREFULLY to insure a safe delivery and the buyer is to pay $35.50 for shipping, packing and ins. This clock is quite large, delicate, and will require an oversize carton with LOTS of packing materials to insure a safe delivery. International is exact charge. I have always hated that "reserve" when I have bid so this fine clock has no reserve and an extremely low (gulp) starting bid. We love these clocks and we will be glad to help you set up your new clock, or answer questions long after the sale via email. We try to describe these clocks as accurately as we can, and include lots of pictures, (usually 12 or more) using just about every angle. We go over them thoroughly, and if they're dirty or need overhauling, we clean and overhaul them. If you expect an antique clock to look brand new, which they usually don't, please don't bid on them. Antiques, if they've had normal use, will have age-appropriate wear, which adds character rather than detracting. (WAY TOO much wear will, of course, detract.) Older clocks had to be transported over rough, unpaved roads in horse and buggy, buckboards, and maybe even Conestoga wagons.
