Pallas Verlag 2000 as a detailed compendium of recipients of this decoration from WWII. His last days of WWII were pretty much in the Eastern Front and the book he wrote with his aide relates to this very well, a copy or pamphlet of it is included which he "Hand Corrected" after proof reading it, detailed maps of operations are included these are old maps not copies of maps dating of 1944, you can see of how clearly the situation deteriorated for them as an Army while the Soviets pushed and encircled them. He received his Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross as a Major in March 11th of 1945 for his service in the Ukranian Front. The booklet is 23 pages in content and was his plus annotated by him--by his hand and pen. Very same again
