German Wehrmacht pistol holster Sauer and Sohn 38 H dark brown jhg 41 dated RARE

German Wehrmacht pistol holster for Sauer and Sohn pistols model 38H of pre 1945 era. Holster is made of very solid dark-brown cowhide leather. All stitchings are tight and nothing tends to loosen. There is a hallmark present on the break-away flap reading jhg41 meaning that this holster was made by Gustav Genschow company in 1941. On the closure strap tip a Waffenamt acceptance stamp reading Eagle/Swaz WaA286 is die-struck into the leather. This marking is difficult to phtograph but it is there. Inside the holster an ink marking is stamped into the leather Sauer H 7,65 This is a marking to let us know that the holster was designed for the contour of a Sauer pistol 38H in 7,65mm caliber (.32 ACP). The carrying loop is of the wide design to fit military uniform belts. The closure stud is made of steel and on the inside the rivet washer is still covered by the original leather patch. In most cases these patched have gone lost over the decades. Here it is retained. Holster has not been treated with new leather preservative, shoe cream or other fluids. All is in the as received state. Any Sauer military marked holster can be termed as being rare. An honest and rare piece for the German military holster and/or German Sauer 38H pistol collector.
