L. Gilbert clock dates from the early 1900's. Clock is black enamel with two columns on either side of the dial with faux marble bases. T is scroll work on the base of the clock. The glass is in very good condition and the bezel locks closed. The dial face is browned but otherwise in good condition. The hands look original. T is a G in a triangle above the six with the Gilbert logo underneath the six. The clock measures 15x6x10 1/2 inches. The back panel does not look original as it has a homemade door. The movement has a bell which rings on the half hour and a gong which counts the hours. A key is included with the clock. T is Gilbert name and a 1909 date on the movement. The clock movement has been cleaned and oiled and keeps perfect time. I am selling this clock as is as I cannot be held responsible for it through the mail. I will wrap it very carefully to keep it from any damage during shipment. This clock would look fine on anyones mantle.
