Gilt Bronze Ballerina Sculpture Figure Briand Paris

You are bidding on a beautiful gilt Bronze Figure of a Ballerina. It is signed, “H. Briand / E. Paris . The gilt surface has become oxidized and is turning into a beautiful natural verdigris surface. She stands 7 ¼” tall including the 1” thick walnut base that she is mounted on. From what we could find out – pieces signed Briand were produced by the Le Verrier foundry in Paris during the deco years. It is believed that Briand was a pseudonym used by Marcel Bouraine. Bouoraine also used the name Derenne. This is a great old piece of art. Nice form and detail. I have more info on Bouraine that I would be glad to share. NYS residents add 8.75% for sales tax. U.S. buyer pays $20.00 shipping. Please e-mail questions before bidding.
