GINO HOLLANDER IN HIS MOST FLATTERING FORM. THIS WOULD BE ONE OF HIS WELL KNOWN FACIAL PAINTINGS DONE IN THE MEDIUM OF ACRYLIC. THIS MEASURES 23" BY 23" APPROXIMATELY WITHOUT THE FRAME. WITH THE FRAME INCLUDED, IT MEASURES 29-1/2" WIDE BY 28-1/4" TALL. THIS IS DONE ON CANVAS, NOT PAPER. THIS IS SIGNED TWICE AND DATED TWICE, ONCE WITH THE DATE ON THE LOWER BOTTOM RIGHT OF 98 AND ON THE BACK AGAIN OF 1997. I BELIEVE THIS IS BECAUSE THIS WAS AN ONGOING PROJECT FOR HIM FROM 1997-1998. THERE IS A REFERENCE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF THE CANVAS, 6H-118 OVER 23X23 AND THEN BELOW THAT, THE NUMBER OF 31. I AM ASSUMING THIS IS ENTITTLED "SOULA" AS THIS WORD IS IN QUOTATION MARKS. IS IS ALSO DATED MORE SPECIFICALLY, JULY 31, 1997. THERE IS A CIRCLED (H) I DO NOT KNOW WHY. THERE IS ALSO LETTERING ON THE BACK IN A LIGHT GREEN HUE TO THE AFFECT OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE, (BF 11.3). THERE ARE NO HOLES OR RIPS TO THE CANVAS. THERE ARE SOME VERY SLIGHT FINE CRACKS IN THE ACRYLIC IN SOME VERY SMALL ISOLATED AREAS DUE TO THE EXTREME THICKNESS OF THE APPLIED ACRYLIC. THIS IS NOT RAMPANT BY ANY MEANS AND SURMISE THAT MANY OF HIS OTHER WORKS MAY HAVE DEMONSTRATED THIS CHARACTERISTIC BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL HE WOULD APPLY TO THE CANVAS. I HAVE SHOWN IN PHOTOS 4,5,6, WHAT MAY APPEAR TO BE CHIPPED AND MISSING DEPRESSIONS
