I am selling this 4 stacking section bookcase I acquired in England when I lived t I do not have any information as to it's age as I was given the piece by a small museum that was moving and no longer required the unit. It's one of two I am selling as they no longer fit our interior decor style. This Globe Wernicke unit has three stacking shelves on top of a base plinth drawer. Please note that although the sections share the same design system and fit together they are actually unmatched and are probably from different stacking units that have got mixed up in the past. They also have different designed door knobs. The wood is reddish in color with the top and lower shelves being a close match. The center section is of a slighly different color but looks to be the same wood. is a condition summary: Wear and tear is typical for an aged piece of furniture incl. some scuffing, scratches, dings. Center shelf has some obvious scratches The metal door knobs, drawer handles and side metal sections are oxidized and probably just need some metal cleaner. The metal mechanisms all work. All glass doors are in tact. The center section bears a label stating " Globe Wernicke Co Ltd. London" see photo.
