~ GMP Diecast 1:18 Rat Trap Bantam F/A Dragster NHRA

This auction features the famous Rat Trap Fuel Altered Bantam Dragster owned by Dennis Watson and campaigned by Gary Gabclich, George Hutchison, Dan Collins and others in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Model is a special 1:18th scale diecast from GMP Diecast .

The Rat Trap dragster was designed with independent front suspension, a nitro burning Chrysler Hemi engine and a unique paint scheme. It was one of four cars which made up the legendary Fuel Altered Tours of 1970, '71, and '72. Other cars on that tour were Willie Borsch with the Winged Express, Pure Heaven II and the Magnificent 7. They ran times and speeds appropriate more to the fuel dragsters than their own short-wheelbase Altered class.

NHRA Race Car is approximately 7" long and in beautiful "mint" condition in its original box. Car has plug wires, fuel lines, a beautifully detailed 427 Ratrod racing engine, great interior detail with gauges, seatbelts, safety equipment and is free rolling with Racemaster drag racing tires. Lots of little details as well, with sponsor decals, cloth parachute pack and accurate logos.

This is on par with a Danbury Mint level diecast. You won't be disappointed adding this beautiful vintage Fuel Altered/dragster race car to your NHRA diecast collection.
