Goebel Looney Tunes ROAD RUNNER and WILE E. COYOTE Set

Incredibly rare matched set of two Looney Spotlight Collection figurines: Accelleratii Incredibus (The Road Runner) and Carnivorous Vulgaris (Wile E. Coyote, of course). These high-end hand-painted porcelain figures were sold in the now-defunct Warner Brothers Studios stores to compete with the Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC). They retailed somew in the $200-$300 range EACH, but I am selling these as a set. Released by Goebel in 1997, both statues are #1570 of a limited edition of 7598.
Road Runner is 5" high and Wile E. is 8" high. Both are about 8" wide and come with wooden bases with their "Latin" names displayed on little plaques. If you place the pieces next to each other, they link up to form a piece of highway that is buckling under the Road Runner's speed. Perfect likenesses and flawless paint jobs. In absolutely mint condition in their original black and gold boxes, except that the Coyotes' metal fork and knife are a little tarnished with age. I'm sure thay can be easily shined up.
Please note: Road Runner comes with certificate of authenticity and a replica of an animation cel. Unfortunately, it seems the COA has fallen out of the Coyote box. If I find it, I will send it along, but it's probably gone for good.
