GORDON'S POTTERY Prestonpans c1835

The attribution is based purely on information sourced from the reference book by Coysh & Henrywood

George Gordon of Prestonpans is said to have used the mark that appears on the base of this jug....'Florentine' OPAQUE CHINA

Condition: there are two old cracks on either side of the jug.....restoration patches on the footrim of jug and rim of cover....the quality of the potting and print are good (I thought it was Minton)

The jug stands 132mm or 5 1/4" to top of handle spur.
