Rare Gorgeous 1930s Art Deco Rug 7 x11 Unique Pattern

This is a phenomenal area rug that is truly one of a kind. It was purchased about twenty years ago from a highly reputable dealer in Philadelphia who specialized in art deco era rugs and furniture. When it was purchased, I paid a considerable amount of money for it. I am offering it at a fraction of it's original purchase price. For many years, I had it cleaned and conditioned at Sotheby's rug department and the manager of that department told me that this rug was made on a particular kind of loom in France that no longer exists. Sadly, the rug has suffered some wear and I have not had it repaired. I have tried to show those areas where the rug has worn, some of which were hidden by my furniture and therefore did not diminish the overall appearance of the rug. The rug measures, 7'-4" x 10'-7". This rug is very special and despite the condition issues, it would be a terrific, authentic addition to any art Art Deco decor. White spots, if any, are camera glare. Please feel free to email me with any questions. ALSO, please wait until I send you an invoice before paying, since I must weigh the rug and determine the final dimensions of the vessel it will be shipped in. Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the auction or the sale may be voided.
