This beautiful early vintage (pre 1948 eagle stamp) Mexican Silver Necklace is reminiscent of the work of MATL (Matilde Poulat) wih it's heavy Sterling Silver wire work and Turquoise stones. This was a labor intensive piece to produce and it is very well made. The turquoise stones are bevel set and backed with silver and mounted on the inside edge of the silver circles. A row of silver balls at the center completes the design. Measuring 15 7/8" long and 13/16" wide, it has a tight, wide push in clasp and weighs a hefty 52.7 grams. In good original vintage condtion with no signs of damage or repair, it is hallmarked "Hecho en Mexico, DF, 0.925" with the initials "TNC". A lovely early Mexican Necklace that looks simply fabulous on!
