Tannis Props is ending production of their Grail Diary, and 2009 will be the last series edition. They plan to dedicate more time to new projects. We will be listing these less frequently as they wind down production. Question: What makes this Diary so special? Answer: This is an original handmade Diary detailing the travels of a fictional adventurer and his quest to locate the Holy Grail of Biblical history. Because of collector demand, Tannis Props is again building these custom items in extremely limited numbers! This comes with an original Tannis Props Certificate of Authenticity, all inserts, letters, and photos shown to detail this great adventure! The Diary comes distressed to give it the look and feel of a well-worn relic. The photo is from this series and represents the Diary you will receive, but being handmade and hand distressed, each one has subtle variations. Question: I s this just one of the inexpensive Diaries I see sold on the internet made from a CD or by a word processing program? Answer: No. This Diary was made by an artist who first wrote the entire book out by hand then used this exquisite master copy to make prints from which we then cut, bind, and detail by hand. Many other Diaries are simply print-outs of this work and quickly bound to make a quick buck. We do not believe in using the work of others. Our Diary is totally written, drawn, designed, painted, assembled and produced 100% by Tannis Props. Question: Are t duplicate or repeated pages? Answer: No, t are no duplicate pages, each is different and unique. Tannis receives many compliments on their unique invented storyline which compliments the historical facts perfectly because the writer researched many archives, biblical reference materials, original source materials, and historical documents to provide the most accurately researched version ever created. T are correct blank pages at the end of the book as well Question: How is the Tannis Diary different from those by other makers? Answer: Tannis Props is legendary among collectors for their incredible attention to detail. Each book literally takes several weeks to build because of this interest in providing collectors with the best Diary available. The pages are aged using a custom made dye exclusive to Tannis Props and even the process of applying this dye is proprietary information and requires special tools and techniques. Your Diary includes hand painted watercolored pages, is bound by hand in the finest available color-accurate quality leather (and accurate suppleness, not inexpensive thick heavy leather) using traditional bookmakers materials and techniques. Leather edges are folded over with inner paper cover, not just a thick slab of cheap craft leather glued on revealing raw and unfinished edges. Even the cloth tape used in the binding is authentic to the era and is of archival quality, no detail was missed! Question: How is the 2009 edition different from previous editions? Answer: Tannis Props is always upgrading and improving their Diary, and for 2009 they have added more water-colored images, re-illustrated three images that were too dark to see the full details of the drawings, and improved the cover distressing process to look more authentic. The 2009 edition also features a new certificate style from Tannis.
