I found a box of coins in my grandfather's possessions, and I have been moving the box around for almost 14 years. I decided it was time to learn enough about them to provide accurate listings and clean them out. Please feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer them. I've only researched a little online to determine what I am looking at so please ask questions or for more pictures if you need as I will readily admit that I am not an expert and he left no explanations of why he had stuff grouped together in ziploc bags and I am learning as I go. This auction is for a large combination of items he had in this coin box: 18 Silver Mercury Dimes 22 Buffalo Nickels dates vary through the 1920s and 1930s a 1991 Heroes of Desert Storm $5 Commemorative Coin. It is in a tri-fold paper that tells the story of Desert Storm (as pictured). Shows minor wear. Stain on front corner and back. 1972 US MINT COINS PROOF SET SEALED IN PLASTIC (as pictured) American Revolution Bicentennial Medal. George Washington is pictured on the medal (coin) and the year 1972 P. The cover of the black plastic box says 1776-1976 12 post cards with Thomas Jefferson stamps printed on them.
