Great Britain. Proof copper Halfpenny, 1831. William IV. S-3847. Bronzed. Coin-die alignment. Rare, mintage unknown, variously reported as 150, 225 or 400 pieces for the Coronation sets. 400 (or more) is the most likely number, but these are today quite rare. Most are not very nice. This is a happy exception. A few tiny specks of carbon but the fields are reflective and the eye-appeal is excellent. NGC graded Proof 64 Brown.
