GREECE Army Early 1960s French Lizard Camouflage Shirt

Up for your consideration is a rare, 1960s era Greek Army lizard camouflage shirt in early French colours. Chest size is quite large - at least 46" if not 48". Educated camouflage collectors know that most Greek lizard camouflage differs significantly from the French colours of the 1950s, but the earliest uniforms actually mimicked the French pattern quite closely as you can see from the photographs. This is one of the earliest models of shirt, made from heavy HBT cloth, with two large bellows pockets. T are Greek Army quartermaster and size stamps inside the lower right lapel. Condition is used, so t is a fair amount of fading, but I see no evidence of serious damage, rips, tears or repairs. Makes fine addition to any collection of international camouflage uniforms.

I will be listing quite an assortment of international camouflage uniforms, hats, and field equipment over the coming weeks. All items came out of a single collection spanning 20 years, with some rare and unusual and some more common items mixed in. T will undoubtedly be something for every level of collecting and interest. Collectors may wish to mark me as a favourite seller so as not to miss out on new auction listings, which may be updated as often as 2-3 times per week.
