Gregory "Pappy" Boyington Autograph - Medal of Honor This is a nice bookplate signature that was hand-signed by Greg "Pappy" Boyington. The bookplate is affixed to an album page that has a picture of Boyington and a little info about him. The album page is in a poly holder that is punched to fit a standard 6.5" x 5.5" 3-ring binder. This bookplate signature was obtained during an interview with Boyingtonr in the 1980's. I have a free 400+ page eBook that tells about these bookplate signatures. Boyington was a personal friend. I met him in 1956 while I was a cadet at West Point. We maintained contact with each other until shortly before his death. In the later years I would help him at the various militaria and air shows he had tables at. In addition to the signed books and photos he sold at these shows, I sold hundreds of them myself over the years. My last order for a case of signed books and some signed photos was placed just a few months before his death. Boyington was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, grew up in the nearby logging town of St. Maries, Idaho and later, Tacoma, Washington w he was a wrestler in high school. He first flew when
