Zalaegerszeg, 1864 - Budapest, 1946

He studied at the School of Decorative Art, Budapest where he was tutored by Károly LOTZ. After having finished the Highschool he made study tours to Italy and the Netherlands where he represented Hungary and the capital in several collective exhibitions. He has exhibited since 1891. He was an individual artist painting and drawing country towns and montain landscapes. The house-rows of the Buda castle hill, turrets partly hidden by tree-leaves inspired him. The romanticism of lonely little streets, houses and roofs was expressed in his paintings with an outstanding talent. He could play with light and shadow, colour and grayness. More than a few of his drawings and paintings are in the property of the Hungarian National Gallery and the Hungarian Museum of History.
