Hand carved wooden wood antique colonial horse stirrups

we have another beautiful pair of hand carved wooden stirrups dating to the colonial period and, to the best of my knowledge, from Bolivia. Each one measures about 8 inches long, 5.5 inches wide and a bit less than six inches nigh, not counting the iron work. This pair has its iron work completely intact. The only flaw is a very old and very stable drying crack in one of the stirrups that is clearly visible in the photographs. Note the beautiful carving, primarily line engraving with some subtle chip carving. I particularly like the suns carved on the toes. After this set I only have two other pair. A lovely piece of history and culture as well as a superb example of genuine folk art.
