Great Basin Saddlery proudly offers: An absolutely stunning hand bridle bit. Made especially for Great Basin Saddlery by Franco Silversmiths, this bit is outstanding!!! Bit features a stunning, traditional Modified Santa Barbara cheek that is a copy of a rare bit from a famous collection from the Santa Ynez area (of course the name of the original maker and the collection escapes me at the moment - but the bit is on display at the carriage museum in SantaYnez). The cheeks are beautifully hand engraved genuine sterling silver inlays and a black gun metal finish - STUNNING!!! The mouth is a 5" wide San Joaquin with engraved copper hood and copper inlaid bars. Also, the heastall rings are hinged, so if they don't look straight in the pictures, it's because they are hinged and can freely swing in and out (see pictures). The idea is that it will better fit a horse with a wide jaw. I actually ordered this bit for myself (for my bridle horse with wide set molars), but they put the wrong mouth on it (it was supposed to be a spade for ol' Lyle) - my loss is your gain!!! This is an outstanding bit!!! It has a mouth piece that those good bridle horses really get along with! Perfect for the show pen, ranch work or just collecting, don't miss out on this one!!!
