This Harmony Kingdom Event Piece named "Talk of the Town" was carved by Peter Calvesbert in 2002. It was made in the Cottswold area of England and hand painted by local craftsmen.Dimensions (inches): 1.8 x 1.87 x 3.56 This beautiful African Grey Parrot box was only available to attendees of a Harmony Kingdom House of Lords dealer's in-store signing event.This is a very popular piece for both HK collectors and parrot lovers and it rarely comes up for auction.Peter Calvesbert designed this African grey parrot especially for the 2002 House of Lords signing tour. Colour variations show the quill painted various shades and hues. The interior shows a group of eggs with Peter's head hatching from one of them. The inscription "Save the Spix" refers to the Spix macaw, now believed to be extinct in the wild although a few still survive in the collections of rich individuals. The signature mouse peeks out from under the quill. Buyer pays $7 for USPS Priority insured shipping.
