A little bird pin with a turquoise eye. It is probably Navajo in origin, and of the type of jewelry made for the tourist trade and sold by the Fred Harvey Company, Southwest Arts and Crafts, and Maisel's. It is unmarked silver, coin grade or better. I have also seen this same design bearing the mark of the United Indian Trader's Association (UITA), but this one is unmarked. It has decorative stamping to represent the feathers. It is 1 7/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall and weighs 6 grams. It has a rollover safety clasp and a very nice patina. Winning U.S. bidder will pay shipping via Priority Mail and delivery confirmation based on one pound or less to your ZIP Code. If you would prefer a more economical method of shipping, please contact me after the auction and before you pay, and I will send you a revised invoice. I will also ship International, via Priority Mail, EXCEPT NO SHIPMENTS TO ITALY. Sorry, too many problems with Italian mail. International shipping can be expensive - please take this into consideration before you bid. You can use the Shipping Calculator at the bottom of this page to determine your shipping cost prior to bidding. I will work with an International bidder to provide a less expensive shipping method, but I prefer Priority Mail. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS MUST BE AWARE THAT CUSTOMS DUTIES ARE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY
