Haviland Limoges Leaf Heart Shaped Dish ROSES Jewels

This is one of the prettiest pieces of Haviland we've ever seen; authentic, made in Limoges, France. And it's really old; bears the mark used before 1893! The scalloped heart or leaf shape would make it a elegant display piece or gift item for Valentine's Day.

The background of this antique dish is pale blue, yellow and green. T is an ornate crosshatched medallion of gold, with gold flourishes extending from both top and bottom. T are 9 blue "jewels" (raised enamel dots) around the medallion and the flourishes. T are hand painted roses in different shades of pink and yellow, with trailing foliage that fades into the background. All of this is handpainted by a very talented artist (who did not sign her work). This would make a lovely candy or pin dish, but you probably won't want to cover it up.

CONDITION: Excellent condition.

SIZE: 6 1/2" x 6" and stands about 1 1/4" high.
