Up for your consideration from my late husband's collection of Hawaii Medals and Tokens is this ALUMINUM MEDAL/TOKEN commemorating the 1970 HAWAIIAN PHILATELIC SOCIETY HAPEX APS STAMP SHOW . The 38mm diameter commemorative is in mint condition. THIS ISSUE SPORTS THE ERROR: "HAWAIIN" (it should have read "HAWAIIAN") and is listed as 2M-134 in the Medcalf/Russell catalog. Per "Hawaiian Money - Standard Catalog - Second Edition" by Donald Medcalf and Ronald Russell (c) 1991, This commemorative medal/token was issued for the 1970 HAPEX in two versions: the error (HAWAIIN) in which t were 1200 aluminum and 300 bronze minted and the corrected version (HAWAIIAN).

Obverse: HAWAIIN PHILATELIC SOCIETY - HAPEX '70 HONOLULU HAWAII NOV 5-8 and the HAWAIIAN POSTAGE 2 TWO CENTS (missionary 2c stamp)

Reverse: HAWAIIN MISSION SESQUICENTENIAL, 1820-1870 BRIG THADDEUS (ship)
